Inkera Muwwakkil, M.A., ALMFT

Clinical Therapist

Meet Inkera

You may be doing everything you know how to do, and still feel disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck in the same patterns that never seem to change. Whether you are navigating conflict, healing from betrayal, or trying to reconnect with yourself or your partner, therapy becomes a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin moving forward with intention.

I work with couples, families, parents, and individuals who are ready to examine the patterns shaping their lives and relationships. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Together, we explore the stories you carry, the patterns that keep showing up, and the deeper emotional experiences underneath them. This process allows us to not only process pain, but also uncover your strengths, values, and sense of identity in a way that feels empowering and authentic.

As a Couples and Family Therapist, I focus on relational dynamics, how you experience yourself within your relationships, your family system, and the broader environments you move through. Much of my work centers on intimacy, disconnection, betrayal, and intergenerational patterns, including the beliefs you may hold about love, worth, safety, and belonging.

In our work together, we will identify what is getting in the way of connection, tend to the parts of you that have been hurt or protective, and create new ways of relating that feel more secure and aligned. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and grounded, while also being gently challenged toward growth.

This is a collaborative process. Your questions, your pain, and your hopes are all welcome here. Together, we honor your past, deepen your understanding of the present, and work toward a future that feels more connected, intentional, and meaningful.
